Grade 7 Skiing/Snowboarding
Enzo & Isabella
On January 7 the Grade 7 classes went skiing and snowboarding on Whistler Mountain. Most of them thought it was a great experience and would do it again any time. The class learned the basics and safety of skiing and snowboarding. After that it was time to have some fun. The kids tried out what they had learned and even tried out a few new things. They zoomed down the hill and rode the ski lift back up so they could do it again. After 6 exhausting hours of excitement the classes started to head home.
Interviews with Some of the Grade 7’s
After interviewing some of the Grade 7 students, we found that a majority of them had not skied or snowboarded before. Here are their likes and dislikes:
Hardest part of skiing/snowboarding: (1) Turning, (2) getting skis on and (3) going around obstacles.
Best part of skiing/snowboarding: (1) Going through tree runs, (2) jumping and (3) going down steep hills! edit.
